Google might have gotten it wrong in its first phase of offline advertising in Nigeria with billboard ads promoting American pop culture but now they have made amends.

In it's latest wave of YouTube adverts, Google is now proudly Nigeria with videos specifically targeted towards the Nigerian market.

On Google Africa's YouTube page, you can watch the tech giant's Nigerian ads that mention Burna Boy, Deola Sagoe, popular night club Escape and the viral sensation Emmanuella.

This is more like it. As Nigerians, we love when big brands create adverts specifically for us. This is what Google has done. With this new set of ads, they are properly integrating their search engine into Nigeria's mainstream culture. We would rather search for Burna Boy's latest video than the last episode of 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians'.

Speaking of Google and its adverts, it seems the tech giant is taking its agenda of world domination seriously. Apart from billboard and mini-billboards ads, Google is now paying for advert slots on radio and television.

This week, Google's adverts have hit both radio and TV. Isn't Google already famous enough? Apparently not. The tech giant wants to integrate itself to every sphere of life making it indispensable.

If Google is doing offline advertising, no other brand on earth has an excuse not to.
