Good For You Rapist teacher escapes lynching in Lagos; as 14-yr-old victim is rescued

A rapist teacher was almost beaten to death after he abducted his student and raped her repeatedly.

A secondary school teacher with the Akintan Grammar School, located in Surulere area of Lagos State, Benedict Ekpenyong, would have been a dead man now if an angry mob had had its wish of killing him after he allegedly abducted a 14-year-old student and kept her in his apartment and raped her repeatedly, reports Punch.

The girl identified as Blessing, it was gathered, happens to be Ekpenyong's student and whom he had invited to his house at Ogunfunmi Street, Akobi Crescent, Surulere, and locked her up against her will, and went ahead to have carnal knowledge of her her several times.

But the randy teacher was not aware that some of his neighbours had seen him and became suspicious. The neighbours mobilised other residents who stormed his apartment and forced the door open to meet him on top of the teenager.

Ekpeyong was reportedly beaten severely by the mob before he and the pupil were dragged to the the nearby Alakara Police Division.

It was also learnt that Ekpeyong was inn the habit of bringing young school girls to his house at the close of school and having sex with them till late in the night, an habit that got his neighbours upset.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Joe Offor, confirmed the teacher’s arrest, adding that the police had visited the scene of the crime and would charge the suspect to court after investigation was concluded.
