At times, what works for others may not work for some, as was the case of Isa Kwairanga, a 35-year-old man who thought he would get the attention of the new All Progressive Congress governor-elect in Bauchi State, Barrister Mohammed Abubakar, by embarking on a trek from Jama'are local government area to Bauchi, the state capital, to congratulate the new man at the helm.
Another trekker hits the rock
A man who trekked for over 200 kilometers to celebrate the Governor-Elect of Bauchi State was left disappointed when there was no one to celebrate him.
But little did the man from Zubo village in Shiraz local government area, know that Abubakar was neither aware of his journey nor was he in the mood to receive him because by the time he reached his destination after trekking the over 200 kilometer journey on foot, there was nobody to welcome him.
Kwairanga, according to reports, had trekked for five days but by the time he got to Bauchi, there was no one to lay the red carpet for him.
Witnesses said he even had to beg for money to buy drugs and to transport himself back to him village.
