Telcoms giant commends institution for producing exceptional leaders

Nigeria’s Data Masters, Globacom has commended the Lagos Business School for producing many of the country’s most outstanding business leaders.

Speaking at the dinner, Globacom’s Coordinator, Enterprise Sales, Mr. Folu Aderibigbe, described the gathering as a collection of Nigeria’s finest professionals and business men.

He particularly commended members of the association for the contributions they had made to nation building through professionalism and excellence in their businesses.

“The Lagos Business School has produced exceptional business leaders that have engineered and shaped the business and economic landscape of the country. You all have contributed in one way or another to the nation’s development and added value to its economy”, Mr. Aderibigbe said.

The top Globacom official said the company would continue to give its unflinching support to the association in every way it could.

Also speaking at the ceremony, the out-going president of the Alumni Association, Mr. Wole Oshin, extolled Globacom’s crucial role in liberalising access to telecommunications services in Nigeria.

Mr. Oshin also lauded Globacom for its solid support for sports and entertainment in Nigeria. He thanked the company for extending its generosity to the sponsorship of the association’s dinner.

The dinner, held at Eko Hotels and Suites also witnessed the conferment of the prestigious Distinguished Alumnus Award on Mr. Charles Anudu, the Chief Executive Officer of Swift Networks, a Lagos-based broadband service provider.

Three lucky members of the association carted home free iPhone 6 smartphones donated by Globacom. The lucky winners included AdetounOtepola, Ajayi Oluwole and Chief Nzegwu Louis.

Speaking briefly after winning the phone, Otepola said she was delighted to be among the lucky winners. “I’m so glad to be here today. I’ve been looking forward to this day, reconnecting with my former classmates and networking with many others is indeed worth the while. I also won an iPhone 6, wow, I can’t believe it”, she enthused.

"I want to say a big thank you to Globacom for sponsoring the event”, she added.

The occasion was attended by the crème de la crème of the business world, most of whom are members of the association.
