A 79-year-old grandmother in Alabama, United States, Ira Belle Peterson, has been arrested and charged with domestic violence for allegedly shooting her nephew in the leg during an argument over $20, police in Alabama said.

A 79-year-old grandmother has shown that she is not to be trifled with when she shot her young cousin because he stole her money.
According to Latest.com, Peterson had accused her nephew who lived with her in the 400 block of Gaston Street, of stealing her money but the young man had denied the allegation and in the argument that ensued, the gangster grandma pulled out her gun and shot him once in the leg.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment, and has since been released while
Peterson faces a charge of second-degree domestic violence.
