Wife hacks husband to death, cuts his body to pieces after disagreement

A Ugandan woman has been arrested for hacking her husband to death and chopping his body to pieces because he married another woman.

 

Unity Atuhere, a 23-year-old woman from Kalere village in Kibalinga Sub County of Uganda, has been arrested after she hacked her 26-year-old husband, Christopher Tukaherwa, to death following a disagreement.

Not done with just killing her man, Atuhere went ahead to chop his body into pieces.

New Vision Uganda reports that she had asked her husband to go to the garden early enough so that they would dig before it rained.

But on reaching the garden, an argument ensued between them and Atuhere hit Tukaherwa with a hoe on the head, and then picked a machete with which she chopped his body into pieces.

After killing her husband, Atuhere reportedly ran to Lusalira police post where she handed herself in.

The police officer in charge of operations, Nelson Kasangaki, said the suspect admitted to committed the crime, saying her husband had married another woman.

According to some residents, Atuhere separated from her husband early last month, when he took another wife. They however said she had recently returned.
