In what could be termed as the result of frustrations, a final year student of the Engineering department at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, (FUTA), identified as Festus, committed suicide after he realised that he had an extra year to spend in the school as a result of his poor results.

It was gathered that the young man had gone to check his results and found out that he did not do well and must spend another year in the school and out of the frustration, he went back to his room and hung himself.
