Residents and eyewitness were left in total shock seeing that the man was climbing the electricity mast like he was on a suicide mission.

Fortunately, as at the time the man got on the tower there was no electricity in the wires, it would have been another day of tragedy.

He was not mad at all. He was coherent when he talked except for some vague statements he made. He had a mission and it was to kill himself for some unknown reasons.” Says Mr. Kazeem Oyebola a resident.

The incident attracted a large crowd and some of the witness had to climb the tower to see if they could get him down.

It was also gathered that it took about three hour to get the man down the mast after the community leader contacted police at the Idimu police station.
