Three teenagers, Sunday Simeon and Adebayo Omoniyi, both 18, and Nnaemeka Uzodinma, 24, are by now reeling in regrets as they cool their randy heels in the cells of the State criminal Investigation Department, (SCID) Yaba, Panti, Lagos, for allegedly gang raping a 16-year-old virgin girl.
3 men docked for gang raping 16-yr-old virgin
The love to have a taste of a virgin has led three young men into trouble after the gang-raped a 16-year-old girl.
According to Vanguard reports, the trio had abducted the girl who is a JSS 3 student, on her back from school in the Orile area of the state on June 23, 2015 and took her to their hideout where they took turns to rape her.
It was gathered that the suspects laid out a plan for the girl when Adebayo took her phone forcefully around Arikeuyo junction while returning from school. While struggling with Adebayo to retrieve her phnoe, his partners in crime swooped on her, dragged her into a tricycle and drove her to their hideout at No. 15, Unity Close in Orile Iganmu. There, they tore her uniform and underwear and raped her one after the other.
After raping her, Adebayo suggested they kill her and throw her corpse into a canal so that she would not expose them but another suspect who is said to be on the run named Seyi, pleaded with them not to kill her but to threaten her and intimidate her so that she would not tell anyone.
So they threatened to get her and kill her if she ever told anyone that they had raped her.
A relative of the girl narrated that the truth was revealed when the girl came back home that night and it was obvious something was amiss.
“When the girl came back from school, it was obvious that something was wrong as she was walking with difficulty, her uniform torn and she was bleeding because she sustained severe bruises all over her vagina.
Her parents who saw her torn uniform and noticed the way she walked, asked what had happened to her and she told them how she was attacked by four men who raped her on her way back from school.
Immediately her father took her to Orile Divisional Police station to report the incidence. Fortunately, while she was at the station with her father, the suspects kept calling and threatening to kill her if she told anyone what they did to her."
The police therefore advised her to lure the culprits by telling them she was coming to see them again the next day, and not knowing it was a trap, they eagerly waited for her.
The next day, the girl led the police to the hideout and Uzodinma was arrested and he led the police to arrest the others.
