A young man in Cameroon is battling for his life in a hospital after he tried to slit his throat when his girlfriend left him.

The man, according to his friends, was so much in love with the girl and could not imagine living without her and when she told him she was calling it quits, the man saw his world coming to an end and decided to kill himself.

But he was lucky and friends and family members rushed him to the hospital where doctors battled to save his life.
