A divorced woman, Victoria Akarigbo, has been remanded in the Kirikiri Prisons for allegedly attacking and stabbing her neighbour, Esther Favour for mocking her over her failed marriage.

PM Express reports that Akarigbo who lives with her parents at 6, Musa Close, Abule Odu, Idimu, a suburb of Lagos State, was sent packing from her husband’s house but the victim always taunted her over the failed marriage, leading to an altercation with the accused using a broken bottle to stab her.

It was gathered that Akarigbo had a serious disagreement with her husband and she was sent away with her three children and she had nowhere to go apart from her parents’ house but her stay there was often seen as degrading by Favour who always made a mockery of her, by calling her an irresponsible woman.

This angered Akarigbo who reportedly took a broken bottle, stabbed her at the back with a serious injury and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

The matter was reported to the police at Idimu division and Victoria was arrested and charged at the Isolo Magistrate's court, where she pleaded not guilty.
