Just a few days after the body of a senior staff of Dangote Industry was discovered where it was dumped, the police have arrested the suspects in the murder.
Punch reports that arrested bandits who were said to have killed Gurama who oversaw negotiating with kidnappers and paying ransom for kidnapped expatriate staff of the company, include Abubakar Gide, 24, Babuga Adamu, 25 and Abdulahi Saliu, a 22-year-old man.
In a statement credited to the police, the suspects were arrested at Ijebu-Igbo forest in Ogun State, Epe forest in Lagos State and Ipo forest in Kwara State, where they had fled to after killing Gurama and dumping his body in a gutter.
The statement added that the operatives led by ACP Abba Kyari recovered three AK47 rifles and 167 live ammunition, which the suspects buried in the forest.
Gurama was taken hostage by the abductors about three weeks ago at Ijebu-Igbo in Ogun State after he went to secure the release of four expatriates and a Nigerian working with the company who had earlier been kidnapped.
He was detained by the gunmen who murdered him even after collecting ransom from the firm. His body was dumped inside a gutter at Ijebu-Igbo.
It was gathered that Gurama was killed by the suspects for fear that he could expose them because he knew too much about them.
