Friends mourn young soldier killed by Boko Haram sect [Photos]
Another young soldier from Benue State has been felled by the deadly Boko Haram sect in a bomb blast in Maiduguri, Borno State.
According to Idoma Voice, the Benue State-born fallen soldier, Onah John Ali was killed in a bomb blast that rocked Maiduguri town a few days, leaving many soldiers killed and other seriously injured.
Confirming the ugly incident that has thrown his community into tears and sorrow, the National Vice Chairlady of the Idoma Culture and Tradition, Vera Tom, described the death of the former student of Army Day Secondary School Lokoja, Kogi State, as very saddening and unfortunate.
While praying for God to grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, Tom urged the Nigerian Military to step up its game in the fight against the insurgents in order to bring their deadly activities to an end.
Many young soldiers have lost their lives in the fight against the terror gang in trying to protect the country, though many of them have been dying in vain as their families have been left uncatered for by the authorities of the Nigerian Army.
