Man in soup for stabbing friend to death

A man is in trouble with the wrong side of the law after he stabbed his friend to death during an argument.

An evil minded man stabbed his friend to death

A 21-year-old man, Azeez Adejumobi, has been arraigned on a count of murder, before an Ebute-Metta Chief Magistrate’s Court sitting in Lagos State, for allegedly stabbing his friend, Saheed Ibitoye, to death during a fight.

It was learnt that Adejumobi, a resident of 4, Ajegunle Street, Onipanu area of the state, used a cutlass to stab his friend on September 24 at 9pm, along Abidogun Street, in the area after an argument ensued between them.

The Police prosecutor, Inspector Gbemileke Agoi, told the court that the two freindshad gotten into a heated argument and in the process, the deceased picked up a cutlass to attack Adejumobi but the suspect overpowered him and instead, stabbed him to death, an offense that is punishable under section 221 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2011.
