Punch reports that Usman was arrested by police officers attached to the Isolo division on Ire Akari Estate in the Isolo area, alongside his partners in crime, Abubakar Garba and Chika Asogwa, after he had invited them to rob his boss.
Their waterloo came when they were trying to sell off the vehicle for N2m.
A police source attached to the Isolo Division said:
“Usman and his boss lived in the Ikoyi area where the boss also has a car store. The guard, sometime last week, stole the key of the car. He then invited the two suspects to drive it away, sell for an agreed price and bring his share."
"On Thursday, we arrested Asogwa, while he and Garba were attempting to sell the vehicle for N2m instead of the N6m market value; that was what raised suspicion.
Usman was also there. The suspects had put a fake number plate, AGL 943 DP, on the vehicle.”
