If anyone thought that prostitution was a special reserve of women, the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), has come out to state that about 3,500 male sex workers have been discovered in Anuja, the Federal Capital territory alone.

Prof. Idoko also noted that 60% of the male 'ashewo' who hang out in clubs soliciting for customers are married men, thereby raising serious concern of spouse HIV transmission.

Idoko also added that the study showed that a high proportion of married women in Cross River and Benue States had other sexual partners..
