A 24-year-old social miscreant whose stock in trade is causing trouble, robbing innocent people and causing a breach of the peace, has been arrested by policemen attached to the AdenijinAdele Police Station, Lagos.
Suspected hoodlum arrested by police in Lagos
An hoodlum who loves causing trouble, fighting, stealing and other sundry crimes, have been arrested by the police in Lagos.
The suspect, Kareem Rasaq, according to the police, has been on the wanted list of the security operatives for sundry crimes including robbery, cultism, breaking and entry, fighting and breach of public peace.
Rasaq was finally apprehended after he and other members of the his gang allegedly attacked and robbed some Lagos Island residents of their valuables, injuring many in the process.
During the operation, valuables worth millions of naira were carted away by Rasaq and his partners in crime.
But the suspect said that contrary to what the police stated, he and his gang only engaged in a fight with a rival gang. He said that he and three of his friends were coming back from a party organised by a mutual friend when the other gang attacked them.
He said:
"On our way back, some young men attacked us with machetes. People were fighting in the area but we did not know what was happening. We, however, retaliated. Unfortunately, I was arrested at the scene while the others escaped."
