About 1, 200 chickens which were being transported to Benin, Edo State to be slaughtered for Christmas have died in a car crash.
1200 Christmas chickens killed in car crash
The chickens, valued at about N4,800,000, lost their lives in the accident which occurred at Adolor junction, Ugbowo, along Benin-Ore highway on Saturday, December 20.
According to a witness, the driver carrying the chickens to the Uselu market for sale had dozed off on the wheel leading to the crash.
However, no human life was lost in the incident.
