Comedian Wale Gates Says 21-Year Old Boy Who Killed His Father Snapped After Constant Abuse

Wale Gates comes out in defence of the 21-year old Redeemers University student who killed his father

Comedian, Wale Gates has come out to make a case for the 21-year old Redeemers University student, Tolani Ajayi  who killed his father.

It would be recalled that a few days ago, news broke about a 21-year old student who killed his father after an argument with him turned horribly wrong. The boy was reported to have stabbed his father with a knife before hacking him to pieces with a machete.

On the heels of the report, Wale Gates said while he's not justifying what the boy did, he may have been a victim of continuous physical abuse by his father which led him to snap and kill his father. He further stated that he himself had been in a similar situation years ago and Tolani's reaction to his father's lashing out at him was not unlike an abused wife who snaps after many years of abuse.

Wale who took to his Twitter account to make his position on the situation known stated that many times African parents cross the line between discipline and abuse.
