Women kidnaps her children to get ransom

The woman had the intention of duping her husband of the sum of N6 million for the release of their children.

Kidnapping

A woman in Rivers State identified as Mrs. Abigail Brown, has been arrested by the police for kidnapping her children in a hope to get a N6 million ransom from her husband.

Brown had connived with her husband's former driver named Thankgod, with the aim of swindling the husband of some money for the release of their two children.

Brown, who initially denied the allegation, later opened up to Punch saying it was frustration that led her to commit the act.

Her intention was to get money from her husband, who she claims has not been taking care of her and the children.

Brown said, “I did it because of frustration. My husband abandoned me and my children.

“Since he left us and went away, I have been suffering with my children, and I know that he has money.

“I only did it to make him bring money for me to take care of the children we had together.”

Brown and Thankgod were paraded along with 146 suspected criminals in the state for various offences.
