17-yr-old boy nabbed while raping 5-yr-old girl in Anambra

A 17-year-old boy who should be in school was caught raping a 5-year-old girl.

This 17 year old is already a rapist

At an age when he should be writing his examinations in preparation to gaining admission into a tertiary institution, this 17 year old boy identified as Chinedu, decided to deploy his youthfulness into a dangerous path as he was caught defiling a five-year-old girl.

The ugly incident which happened at Okpoko area in Onitsha, Anambra State, on July 11, according to witnesses, could have led to his lynching by other resident if not for some elders who begged that he be handed over to the police.

A resident explained that the young man who lives with his parents next door to the parents of the young victim, had asked the girl to buy him some 'moi-moi' (beans meal), but when the girl brought the item, Chinedu dragged her inside his room and defiled her.

It was the girl's screams that attracted a neighbour who quickly alerted others around and they apprehended him.

Though he denied raping the girl, her parents quickly took her to a private hospital for a test which showed the girl actually been penetrated.

Chinedu is said to be in police custody at the moment.
