It is this sinful lust that has landed them at a Katsina Magistrates’ Court for rape and sexual assault.
The accused person, who all reside at Danmusa village in Danmusa local government area of the state, were dragged before the court presided by Magistrate Abdurrahman Umar, on charges of raping the under-aged girls while hawking.
They were said to have deceived the girls who were hawking sachet water by promising them the sum of N200, and took them into an uncompleted building where they took turns in raping them.
According to the police prosecutor in the case, Inspector Hashimu Musa, the three men committed the crimes on April 12, 2015.
Musa said that one Tanimu Danmusa reported the case at Danmusa Police Division and they were all arrested.
The prosecutor also stated that during investigations, the police discovered that the accused ran a syndicate that specialised in raping underage girls by luring them with monetary gifts.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charge and applied for bail but the Magistrate said that the court would not grant bail to them as their file had been forwarded to the State’s Ministry of Justice for advice.
He ordered that the accused to be remanded in prison custody and adjourned till May 25 for continuation.
