Angry woman chews off friend's lip over gossip

A woman who took delight in gossiping has had her reward as her friend bit off her lip in a fight.

A Lagos based woman, Ada Joy Samuel, whose line of duty include gossiping about her friends, has had her lips bitten off by 32-year-old Chioma Ejiofor during a fight.

Ejiofor who has been arrested and charged before the Isolo Magistrates’ Court in the state, was said to have engaged Samuel in a fight at Ajao Estate, over allegations that the victim was spreading rumours with her name.

The incident reportedly happened at Canal Extension, off Itanola Drive, Ajao Estate, Lagos where the two friends reside.

The cause of the trouble is alleged to have started after Ejiofor, a mother of four whose husband had relocated to their village in Umuahia, Abia State, accused Ada of gossiping with her name to the neighbours.

She decided to confront Samuel over the reports she had been hearing in the process, a fight broke out and in the heat of the scuffle, she allegedly stuck her teeth on her opponent's lower lip and bit it, then she spit the piece on the floor.

The bleeding Samuel was rushed to a hospital while Ejiofor was promptly arrested and taken to the Police Station at Ajao Division and later charged to court with wounding.

She was remanded in prison custody pending when she would meet the bail condition and the matter was adjourned.
