Police discovers human head in Lagos
Spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command has revealed that the head of a male was found in the Ebute-Meta area of Lagos.
The Lagos State police command spokesperson DSP Kenneth Nwosu confirmed to the News Agency of Nigeria that the head was found in olokodana junction in Ebute-Meta area of Lagos.
According to NAN, the head was reportedly dropped in the early hours of Wednesday, January 12. DSP Kenneth Nwosu revealed that the head which belongs to a male has been deposited in the morgue at Yaba General Hospital, Lagos.
“Efforts are being made to apprehend the perpetrators of the act. The murder case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti for further investigation. We urge the members of the public not to hesitate to give the police any useful information they have on the incident,” Kenneth Nwosu revealed.
In another related development, a headless female corpse was also recovered from a canal in Lagos.
A Nairaland user posted the photo revealing that the headless body must have been dumped in the late hours of Tuesday, January 13.
“Just saw this body on my way to work, this incident must have happened late hours of yesterday. I believe the politicians are at it again. I don’t want to say that runs girls are the most vulnerable ones, we are all at risk. Lets be careful and be vigilante. This incident happened at the lagoon around Alaka estate axis Lagos,” the user wrote.
