A young man who has been aptly nicknamed Haruna the Trekker, is embarking on a new form of protest: trekking from Kano to Abuja in anger over what he perceived as rigging in the Taraba State governorship election which saw the All Progressive Congress female candidate, Senator Aisha Jummai Alhassan, lost out to the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Darius Kefas.
Man to trek from Kano to Abuja in protest of rigging in Taraba guber poll
A protester from Kano State has vowed to trek to Abuja to protest alleged rigging of the Tarabo State governorship election.
Haruna feels the only female APC candidate was rigged out and denied victory, and as such, he must undertake the mother of all protests.
It is still in line with the current trekking way of showing solidarity. Recall that about four Nigerians, from different states have embarked on this adventure to celebrate the victory of President-Elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, in the past one month.
