Man Commits Suicide After Wife Dumped Him

A man who could not take his wife's treachery has taken the decision to end it all by committing suicide.

The sleepy community of Agbado-Crossing in Ogun State, has been thrown into confusion after the body of a middle aged man, simply identified as Okon, was found in his room in what is believed to be suicide.

The man who hails from Calabar, Cross rivers State, according to co-tenants, has been devastated after his wife of many years left him when he lost his job and ran away with another man. His close friends report that his wife's action had really made Okon sad as he could not come to terms with the fact that she left him because he lost his job.

One of such close friends explained:

Okon must have drank some poisonous substance because he had threatened to kill himself several times. may of us did not take him serious over the threats because he made them when he was drunk.

But to say the least, he was very sad and at night, he locked himself in his room and cried bitterly. No one knew it would end this way.

See what a woman can cause to a man. This was a man who did everything to make his wife happy with the little he had but when he lost his job, she ran away with another man.

Now she has driven him to his early grave. May God save us from such women.

Meanwhile, the corpse has been deposited in a morgue while police investigation continues.
