New Zealand is suffering from scarcity of Avocados and Nigerians sympathize with them

Just take our Avocados and give us your Tomatoes please.

There’s a serious shortage of avocados in New Zealand right now and we understand because we are suffering from Tomato scarcity too.

Prices for A SINGLE AVOCADO in New Zealand range from 800 Naira ($9) to 1500 Naira ($12).

According to BuzzFeed, this week alone, a number of growers have reported that thieves are nabbing dozens of avocados from their trees. People are legit Ocean’s 11-style robbing farms of their avocados.

We feel their pain because here in Nigeria making a pot of stew has become a very expensive venture and fried rice is now being served at parrties instead of our dear ol Jollof rice.

We await your favourable response New Zealand.
