Priests, parishioners lynch thieves in Anambra
The priest and parishioners of the Sacred Heart parish have had a field day dishing out jungle justice to two thieves.
The suspects were reportedly apprehended during an attempt to steal a motorcycle from the church premises during the 5:30am mass on Tuesday, September 27.
The photos from the scene show that the suspects were stripped and beaten to a pulp with the mob milling around them.
Although jungle justice is quickly becoming the norm in most communities, many were shocked to see priests supporting the barbaric act, no matter how well deserved.
One of the priests was captured on camera holding a whip, while they did nothing to stop the angry mob or alert the police.
However, observers were shocked that the priest supported the mob action vented out on them and did nothing to stop them or alert the police.
