Man chains son allegedly possessed by spirits
The 9-year-old boy confessed to stealing a pot of soup and eba in his neighbourhood, but has stated that he would not continue in the act.
According to Punch News, Taiwo steals and runs away from home, making his father to believe there was something wrong with him.
He reportedly made efforts to deliver him from his naughty behavior, but he still continued.
On an occasion, the boy’s father took him to the river for a spiritual bath before he took him to the church and chained him there.
The father is said to be on the run since the boy has been rescued.

Speaking on the matter, Taiwo admitted that it is true that he steals on a consistent basis. He however explained that he did it because his father did not provide enough to eat.
‘‘I was not fed regularly when I was chained. My father and my step-mother only fed me twice a day. Some days, I was not given any food.”
“I want to go back to school because I want to be a doctor in the future. I also do not want to go back to my father’s house.’’
After admitting his acts of stealing, the 9-year-old boy made a promise to desist from his old ways.
‘‘It is true that I stole a pot of soup and bowl of eba in our house. I also stole in the neighbourhood.”
“My father’s inability to give money to my step-mother for the upkeep of the family caused it. But I promised not to go back to my old ways,” he said.
