Female Suicide Bomber Blows Self Up In Kano College

The attacker was said to have been hidden among a crowd of students who were checking for names on an admission list

The city of Kano is again counting its losses as yet another bomb went off in the heart of the city today.

Details of the attack are still sketchy but it was said to have occurred at about 2:45 pm today at the Aminu Kano College of Islamic Studies.

The blast reportedly happened as students lined up to check their names on an admission list.

According to a witness, Isyaku Adamu, the suicide bomber, a female, hid among the crowd.

He told AFP:

"It was a huge crowd and people were jostling to go through the lists"

An official casualty figure has not been released but at least 6 people are believed to have been killed in the latest explosion which is the 6th in Kano this week.
