Women in Brazil staged a topless protest to call for the changing of the law which prohibits them from going topless at the beach.

The Women went bare-chested in different Brazilian beaches to take part in the demonstration also highlighting the cultural issues surrounding the freedom of women’s bodies.

According to Brazilian law, women who go topless can face a fine or even bag a year-jail-sentence.

Topless In Rio movement is aimed at raising awareness of the prejudice faced by women and highlight cultural issues surrounding the freedom of women’s bodies.

Ana Paula Nogueira, who launched the campaign in 2013 via Facebook, hopes to encourage people to see the act of going topless as something pure and natural.
