Nigerians cry foul as Bobrisky picks up a speaking gig on Rights & Responsibilities Seminar in Abuja.

Bobrisky on Pulse TV Live

Of course, Bobrisky is basking in the sun with his new public engagement. We all know he has been a fame whore from day one. To stretch his 15 minutes of fame, Bobrisky whose real name is Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju will be embarking on a UK tour soon.

Strangely, Nigerians on Twitter who are largely responsible for Bobrisky's fame within the last few months are now crying in protest that he is being taken seriously.

After it was announced that he will be speaking at the seminar, several tweets popped on Twitter. These tweets can be described as the lamentations of a people who realized what they had done when it became too late.

Guys, don't cry over spilt milk. This is your creation and you must bear the consequences. People on social media are quick to make stupid people famous. And we in the media ran with it because social media had made him relevant.

Once you open the Pandora's box it becomes too late. You guys enjoy Bobrisky. Someone more deserving should have been on that panel but the SnapChat addict has gotten the spot.

The Special Assistant to the President on New Media Bashir Ahmad will not be a part of this tomfoolery. Ahmad has already pulled out from the panel due to Bobrisky's inclusion.
