His friend Jamal Maslow, who slid down the building with him suffered a broken coccyx when he landed badly on the concrete at the bottom.

They picked up speed as they went down the glass building and could not control their landing at the bottom.

A camera operator filming the incident realised that the stunt gone badly wrong, and ran over to help the second man who is seen on a video lying motionless with blood streaming from his head.

Eyewitness Pavel Yaremenko, 29, said: ‘These guys were drunk and they were fooling around at the top, I don’t think they really intended to jump, but their friends were encouraging them so they decided to do it.

‘But once they started picking up speed they must have regretted it but it was too late to stop then. They really hit the ground fast.’

Both teens were taken to hospital where Jacob is now in intensive care.
