Pastor Arrested For Raping 12-Year-Old Girl

Men of God are supposed to be trustworthy and above sin but not Pastor Uwem Friday who will spend the next five years in jail for raping a 12 year old girl.

It is the end of the road for a man who claimed to be a pastor, Uwem Friday, as he has been arrested and sent to jail for raping a 12-year-old girl in Edo State, Nigeria.

According to reports gathered from the Edo State Police Command, Pastor Uwem Friday raped the 12 year old girl at a farm in Okokwo village, in Ovia North East Local Government Area, a farming community in the state, in November, 2013, and threatened that she would dead should she reveal his dastardly act to anyone.

The bubble however burst when the girl got pregnant had to reveal who was responsible for her pregnancy to her worried parents on May 30, 2014.

Pastor Uwem Friday was arrested and charged to court where he was sentenced to five on June 13, 2014.

In his confessional statement, Pastor Uwem Friday reportedly said:

The victim is the daughter of my neighbour, who is my friend. It was in the evening that I lured her with biscuit and money and I took her to the bush and raped her. I had sex with her once. I didn’t use condom. I am responsible for the pregnancy.

After raping her, I threatened her not to tell anybody. I told her that she would die if she told anybody. It was when the pregnancy became known that her parents came to my house and I confessed to them.
