32-yr-old teacher admits having sex with teenage student

A high school teacher in Oklahoma, United States of America has admitted to sleeping with an 18-year-old student.

32-year-old Daresa Poe was questioned by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation last Tuesday, January 20 after it was alleged that she had sex with the student in his pick-up truck.

Daresa Poe it is alleged, has been in a relationship with the male student since December.

In an in-depth confession, Daresa Poe admitted to the “horrible mistake of having sexual intercourse with a student.”

Daresa wrote the confession in an affidavit to the police where she regretted her actions and express how sorry she is.

“I have made a horrible mistake. I have let my judgment falter and I am embarrassed and mortified for the decisions I have made in the last two weeks. I have had sexual intercourse with a student. I am so very sorry for the (decisions) I have made. I would take it back in a heartbeat if the chance was given to me. I hold a position of importance where people and student[s] look up to me and I have failed. For this I am truly sorry,” part of the affidavit reads.

Both have also admitted to having sex in Poe's home, in the student’s vehicle, and several times in the Waynoka High School teacher’s lounge.

Under Oklahoma law, sexual relationship between a student and teacher is illegal until the student is 21.

So Poe has been hit with a six second-degree rape charge and one charge of sexual battery.
