After staving off the APC lawmakers from impeaching him, Ekiti Governor, Ayo Fayose rode to the House of Assembly on an Okada.
Call him a cat with nine lives and that aptly describes Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, after he fended off the outgoing All Progressive Comgress (APC), lawmakers who tried all they could to impeach him till the very end.
Fayose who has been a thorn in the flesh of the APC, stood off the various attempts to unseat him till the expiration of the 4th Assembly and today, he triumphantly rode on an 'Okada', commercial motorcycle on his way to the State House of Assembly to inaugurate the 5th Assembly.
Commenting on his victory, Fayose said:
"The last few months have been traumatic, especially this week. I was not given room for concentration, but I had left the battle for God to fight. I told those planning to impeach me that they will succeed if they can impeach God.
I did not bring myself back to power; my coming back after eight years is divine. I defeated the APC totally in all the elections, still they did not want to concede victory easily until when Ekiti people rose to defend that June 21 mandate. I will now squarely face the business of governance."
All hail the Lord of Ekiti Manor!
