Survivor dies of stomach cancer

Unfortunately, the famous survivor succumbed to stomach cancer on Monday August 24th.

Marcy Borders, a.k.a 9/11 'dust lady', dies from stomach cancer

Marcy Borders, who was famously photographed covered in ash pulverized concrete as she fled the World Trade Center attack on September 11, 2001, has died of stomach Cancer.

Borders became known as the 'dust lady' and for many years shared her experience on surviving the terror attack on the US.

Unfortunately, the famous survivor succumbed to stomach cancer on Monday August 24th.

In an interview in November 2014, while she battled with the disease, Borders, 42, said she believed the cancer was caused from the dust of the Twin Towers that she inhaled.

She had only worked at Bank of America for one month and was late for work on the day of the terror attack, saving her life.
