US State of Minnesota honors singer with 'Wizkid Day' after selling out Skyway Theatre

Wizkid now officially has a day named after him in Minnesota, called ''Wizkid day.''

According to a post made available on his Twitter page, this feat was achieved as he became the first African artist to ever sell out the Skyway Theatre in Minnesota, US on Saturday, October 6, 2018.

Also taking to his instagram page, Wizkid shared a post on the event with the caption, ''Sold out again last night! Love u Minnesota, y’all in my heart forever.''

The Governor of Minnesota, Mark Brandt Dayton described Wizkid as ''One of the most influential artists'' on a night when he performed some of his hit singles like 'Soco', 'Manya', In My Bed' and 'Ojuelegba' before a sold out crowd.

Praiz gets day declared after him in Minnesota

It will be recalled that earlier in the year, X3M music artist, Praiz, was also celebrated by the state of Minnesota in the United States of America (USA) as they declared February 6th, 2018 as the official “Praise Adejo Day.”

This honor was bestowed on him by the governor of Minnesota, in celebration of his achievements.
