The internet is an interesting place. Only here can an idea like PayBac's "Frank Ocean Type Beats" sprout out from. The rapper who earlier released a joint album with Boogie, strikes the metal with another mixtape with a creative angle.
“Frank Ocean Type beats” starts is an emotional rollercoaster through the complexities of human emotion and struggle. Coming off from a personalized view of events, ‘Finding Iboro’ is a sad revelation of Paybac’s mind, a pool of experiences and hope, as can be felt on the solemn ‘Not good enough’ (Bummy’s Song). ‘Tears are not enough’ is the saddest song to ever snake through Paybac’s creative centre and took form.
There’s happiness thrown in too, as he launches into ‘Best day of my life’, with the repeated chanting of ‘Abasi do am for me’ (God did it for me). ‘Song in pieces’ juxtaposes but sides, as he rambles through his ‘heart full of love’, while switching into stories of his depression, internal struggles, political thoughts and a hodgepodge of incomprehensible, but confusingly brilliant expressions.
