US Promoter Manhandles Nigerian 'Sekem' Singer

Over the past days, word has been circulating that “Sekem” hitmaker MC Galaxy was assaulted by a Washington D.C promoter, Spotlite Entertainment, on Friday, the 12th of September. A video clip of the assault outside the venue of the show just surfaced online.

A video has surfaced online which shows Nigerian singer and comedian, MC Galaxy being manhandled by a show promoter in the US.

MC Galaxy was scheduled to perform at a club in Silver Spring, Maryland this past Saturday, September 13th, 2014. The Sekem singer and his backup crew made the trip into the club, but due to a breakdown in communications and remuneration disputes, MC Galaxy refused to perform.

The promoter, T-Spotlite of Spotlite Entertainment, was upset and attempted to force MC Galaxy into the club. Video footage from the scuffle show MC Galaxy being seized by his belt, and dragged to the front of the club, with all the crew members and other attendant personnel wading into the conflict.

It took the efforts of the Police to extract Galaxy from the T-Spotlite's grip and he was ushered to his car, where he was driven off. Unconfirmed reports also have it that T-Spotlite was very angry about his failed show, and also laid ambush at Mc Galaxy's hotel, where he was lodged. On getting wind of his plan, Mc Galaxy avoided any clash with him.

Mc Galaxy is currently on tour in the US on his 'Sekem US Tour', and MC Galaxy will be performing in Atlanta this Friday, September 19 @ Queens, and powered by a different promoter, Big A Entertaiment.
