It is up to them to preserve the message, so that tradition – in this case, beliefs – remains authentic. This is 'Young & Chosen' and the messenger is Limoblaze.
In presenting the Christian identity through music, Limoblaze has over the last 8 years delivered six studio albums “Blind” (2016), “Before Now” (2018), “Afrobeats Rap and Jesus” (2019), “Bridges” (2020), “God’s Favourite Baby” (2021) and now, “Young & Chosen”, each one showcasing stage of growth and marking transitions between seasons of his life. Hot on the heels of his latest single, “Holy Father”, his second project since signing to Reach Records, Young & Chosen is more than that. It is a movement.

On the first track, 'Young & Chosen', he shares a story. “Started off in a small town, let me tell you how it goes down”. It's a testimony; one of preservation, grit, providence, progress, and victory. He states the purpose of his call; a global fisher of men. And to this journey, there is no end, just the streets of Gold.
The album continues with 'Holy Father'. It's an upbeat prayer: “Let Your kingdom come, Let Your will be done, as it is in Heaven”. The vision is clear, God's will as the believer's yearning.
A few minutes later and two trips down to the Niger Delta and Atlanta, 'No Greater Love' is the tune. Sporting words in Urhobo, a teaser for this Thanksgiving track featuring Joe L Barnes dropped and immediately gained love from fans. It goes “Oghene doh doh, awhe reyeruvwe doh doh”, loosely translated as “thank you, God. We praise You”. A testament to God's great love and goodness.

'Blesser' brings us back to a rapping Limoblaze. It's a groovy track calling for a reassessment of your reason for belief. Is it God or things? Switch up your beliefs, but most of all “Daalu to my Blesser”. After that, it's a Happy day with Sam Rivera. They tell about a feel-good day, void of worry. Glory to The Saviour who works all things favourably.
Next, “God's time is the best”, and when He says it's yours, you sing My Time. It tells about the infallibility of God's design for our lives. “My time, my time, everything go align”. It's a message of perseverance and trust, just like the next track. Wait—a story that screams “The foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom”.
Just like the title says, Limoblaze and WhatupRG sing about waiting on God and letting go of human control, no matter how crazy it seems.
'One Day', his second single of the year, comes next. With KB, It's an anthem. A pledge; “One day, we will see the sun raised, Even in a dark place, We will be here singing for the rest of our lives. We are young and chosen. We'll keep fighting today, Even if it takes us the rest of our lives”. This is the movement.
The Dunnie-produced track, 'Rest', follows immediately after. With loud background vocals, it's a chorus “In you I find rest”. Limoblaze’s message stays the same; with God as the anchor, no matter how turbulent, smooth sailing is assured.

Born winners, Limoblaze and Princeton South sing about an eternal Victory. Again, it's a stamp of identity. It's like they're saying, “This is who You are, who we are, and what we have because of You”. Transformation is another story. When on the journey to fulfill a purpose, it can feel like the road is derailing. This is what Limoblaze sings about, the end goal is transformation and He wants nothing else more.
'Put It on God' and 'Good God II', 2023 and 2024 records respectively, sign us out of the album. On these tracks, Limoblaze, Annatoria, and Naomi Raine have one message: You can Put it on this Good God.
Although at the start of his career, Limoblaze received a lot of criticism, he also had core fans. On the outro of his second studio album, “Before Now”, there were messages from some of them. Faithful Teezo said, “I think Limoblaze is a true blaze”. Many records after, 'Young & Chosen' is here, and we agree with her.
