'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' was released in 1998. It has sold 18 million copies worldwide. In 1999, Lauryn Hill became the first woman to win five Grammys.
Each year the Librarian of Congress selects 25 albums or songs that must be "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant" and at least a decade old.
Other albums to be inducted into the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry are Radiohead's '', and albums from The Door and Joan Baez.
