Pasuma becomes first Fuji artiste to headline the weekly music event

Spice Route, the venue for Industry Nite witnessed history in the making as Pasuma also known as 'Oga Nla', stepped on stage and merged the worlds of pop and Fuji music.

Pasuma Wonder takes stage at weekly event Industry Nite.

History was made yesterday (April 2, 2015) as one of the biggest Fuji acts Pasuma became the first Fuji artiste to headline the popular Industry Nite.

Proving it was indeed an historic affair, music legend and Queen of Waka music, Queen Salawa Abeni was at the event. She attended Industry Nite with her son Big Sheff who is a rapper that performed at Industry Nite last year.

Contemporary acts also showed at Pasuma's edition of Industry Nite. They paid homage to the man who started the merger of Fuji, pop and Hip Hop music in 1998 when he released the urban fuji album titled 'African Puff Daddy'. Dammy Krane who is a pop-Fuji act, Oritsefemi, Terry G, Joe El, Puffy T, Olu Maintain and others came to Spice Route to pay homage to the living legend.

Pasuma came on stage after Small Doctor's performance. The rising ghetto act left the guests at the venue shocked with his high energy performance that saw him bounce aggressively on stage and climb a speaker. His act was followed by Dammy Krane's good performance.

With Jimmie introducing the veteran Fuji act, Pasuma stepped on stage and thanked people for showing up for his Industry Nite edition. Within the span of 30 minutes, Pasuma went through his Hip-Hop inspired tracks including 'Ogede ti Pon', and 'Abo'.

Midway through his performance, he called the legend Salawa Abeni on stage. The music veteran gave a rousing and goose pimple inducing performance with her ever golden voice.

Pasuma ended his set by performing alongside 'Oritsefemi'. As this week's Industry Nite fizzled out early in the morning, Pasuma left the strong impression that he is still the architect of the blend of Fuji with urban music in Nigeria.
