Gasha grew up in Douala – Cameroon and fell in love with music at Age 11 when her father took her to Arts and Music classes around the city.

She did a solo session at the end of one of her classes and decided she was meant to sing.

She has since crafted her style after the sounds that influenced her childhood (D’angelo, Boys II Men, KEM, Music Soul Child, Ottou Marcelin, Donny Elwood, Lauryn Hill, Celine Dion) with a deep flavor of Cameroonian Pop Music; especially Makossa.
