DJ Jimmy Jatt has been in the entertainment industry for over 26 years, he has been one of the major influencer of the DJing culture in Nigeria. On this episode of My Africa Podcast, Jimmy takes us back in time to the beginning of his career.

Influenced by the music his parents listened to and his relationship with his brothers, the DJ revealed his ambitions as a teenager. He said: “My aspiration was to be a rap artist.

“I made a few demo tapes but I think my demo tapes came a bit early for Nigeria”, he added.

The talent born as Jimmy Adewale Amu shares how he got his name and became a DJ on the show. Sit back and listen as DJ Jimmy Jatt takes you on a musical journey from the 80s to present.
