Watch singer's protege, Mayorkun invade Abuja for 'The Mayor Concert' with Burna Boy and Peruzzi

Davido Music Worldwide artist, Mayorkun holds the Abuja edition of his 'Mayor Concert', alongside Burna Boy, Peruzzi, Skales, Ycee and more.

The "Mayor of Lagos" concert which began last year in Lagos as a means of promoting the brand of the young Davido's protege was a success that needed to be spread to other cities.

This time, the train which moved to the Transcorp Hilton Abuja on Sunday night, August 12th witnessed an impressive turnout as fans from the nations capital trooped out to catch a glimpse of the Mayor.

The night saw a strong set of industry heavyweights with Burna Boy making a special guest performance appearing at his first show in the country in many months.

Other artists who stepped on stage to support Mayorkun include his label mates, Peruzzi,  Dremo, Yonda, Idowest and Producer Fresh.

The likes of Lil Kesh, Ycee, Skales, Dice Ailes, Kidi and Kuami Eugene with DJ Consequence holding down the turntable were also on ground to make the night one to remember.

Mayorkun performed a number of his hit singles like 'Bobo', 'Che Che', 'Mama', 'Mind' and more.

Mayorkun who put out two new singles in Posh and Fantasy earlier in the week continues his impressive rise up the musical ladder.

The singer made his debut on the scene with the breakout single, Eleko in 2016, and has consistently earned his reputation as the next in-line to label boss, Davido from the DMW family.

So far this year, Mayorkun has featured on concerts in the UK, where he appeared with Davido at the Wireless Festival and headlined his own show in Ibadan few weeks ago.

Mayorkun is expected to crown what has been a stellar year with the release of his debut album in the coming weeks, and the Lagos edition of the Mayor concert billed for December 14th.
