Budding talent Ubi releases debut single 'Hapu Ya'

Budding Nigerian music talent Ubi has released her debut single 'Hapu Hya' as the lead off her forthcoming debut EP which drops early in 2022.

Born UBi Kimberley Inikpi, she is a talented budding artiste and gifted songwriter whose creativity and versatility personified and her eclectic sounds encompasses music genres such as - Afrobeats, hip-hop and R&B.

In 'Hapu Ya' Ubi brings her writing ability to the fore here by penning down this catchy, singalong anthem.

The smash hit single is produced by Beatpriet and mixed and Mastered by PTDmix.

Born in Lagos, the Afrofusion singer and songwriter has been passionate about music from a young age.

She grew up on a sonic diet of various genres — notably Afrobeats, hip-hop and R&B.

This mix of influences fueled her passion to create music and share that part of her with the world.

To Ubi, music is freedom; a medium of expressing her true self.

As a songwriter, she’s masterful with the pen, elucidating her dexterity through nifty lyricism interwoven with ear worm melodies.

For her, the most important aspect of the writing stage is ensuring it comes from an honest place. Ubi makes music for the divine feminine in everyone and is here to cement her place in the next generation of Nigeria’s musical stars.
