AKA has made an appearance on the popular crib freestyle session hosted by Tim Westwood.

The South African rapper was amazing, as he gave a good show of his talents, rapping straight off his head (or his dome), and generally throwing lines with messages that cut across the fast life, loyalty to rap culture, and gratitude to Westwood. Watch the video below.

Meanwhile, AKA’s sophomore album, ‘LEVELS’ has gone gold.

The album which was released on June 30, 2014, has officially sold over 500, 000 units internationally. It served as a follow-up studio album to his debut release, ‘Alter Ego’.

AKA received the Gold Award and certification yesterday (June 17), from distribution giants, Sony Music Africa. He proceeded to upload a photo of it, celebrating with his teeming fan base on Instagram.

“The fans. The fam. THE KINGDOM. We did it. #LevelsForGold #LEVELSISGOLD #MissionAccomplished.” AKA said, ushering in a tide of goodwill and congratulatory comments.

This Gold award gives a financial angle to the album which has been the recipient of numerous honorary gongs.
