Trailer for sequel breaks new record

Following the recent online debut of "Zoolander 2" trailer, the sequel has emerged “the most successful comedy trailer launch of all time."

Paramount Pictures recently released a trailer for the upcoming comedy

Since its debut last Wednesday, November 18, the trailer has been viewed over 52.2 million times, making it “the most successful comedy trailer launch of all time" according to Paramount.

Directed by Ben Stiller and written by Justin Theroux and Stiller, the upcoming action comedy satsr Stiller, Owen Wilson, Penélope Cruz, Christine Taylor, Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell.

Scheduled to be released on February 12, 2016, the movie will feature special appearances by Billy Zane, Fred Armisen, undefined Kyle Mooney, Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, and more.

The trailer also offers fans their first glance at Benedict Cumberbatch as a popular supermodel named All.

The first Zoolander was released on September 28, 2001 by Paramount Pictures and earned $60.8 million worldwide on a $28 million budget.
