Actor accused of sexual harassment explains why he refused to meet accuser

After weeks of searching for his accuser, Yomi Fabiyi refused to meet her when the opportunity came.

On November 22, 2017, a meeting was scheduled by the Permanent Secretary,  Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs, between Fabiyi and his accuser, Eniola Omoshalewa Eunice.

However, the actor failed to show up.

According to Fabiyi, who had earlier promised a prize for whoever could find his accuser, he only wants to meet her for the first time when she has been arrested by the police.

He also added that he was not ready for any mediation that will jeopardize his reputation.

His post was a response to Eunice'sInstagram post, which questioned why a man who had placed a bounty on her missed out on an opportunity to meet her for free.

On November 12, 2017, Eunice publicly accused Fabiyi of sexually harassing her over nine years ago. According to her, Fabiyi had demanded for a sexual favour in exchange for a role in a movie.

Fabiyii denied the allegation, describing the events as "pull him down by all mean syndrome. He further blamed "too much CNN" for the allegation.

In another Instagram post, Fabiyi offered 20 thousand naira to anyone who could provide vital information about his accuser.

Since the New York Times first published allegations of sexual harassment against media mogul Harvey Weinstein by dozens of women, several other men have been accused of assault by women from all over the world.
